HW Facilities Volunteers Remove Over 100kg of Litter During Beach Clean

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and community impact, a team of HW Facilities volunteers and clients recently took part in a beach clean for Surfers Against Sewage, helping to protect our coastline and prevent waste from entering the marine environment.

Although the beach appeared relatively clean at first glance, the team collected more than 100kg of litter, much of it plastic that could otherwise have found its way into the ocean.

The event brought together colleagues and partners, including the CBRE GWS team, and provided an opportunity to make a tangible difference. We were also encouraged by the positive response from members of the public throughout the day, many of whom stopped to thank the volunteers for their efforts.

At HW Facilities, we believe sustainability is about taking practical action that creates lasting benefits for our communities and the environment. This beach clean is just one example of how small actions can make a meaningful difference when people come together with a shared purpose.
