We believe that small actions can lead to meaningful change, especially when we start young.

Recently, our HSEQ team launch our Into Schools programme at three primary schools across Wiltshire. 

Drawing on their experience as former teachers, the programme has been created to deliver an engaging CSR workshop focused on waste, recycling, and sustainability to Key Stage 2 pupils in schools across the country. Using our ‘Everyday Environmental Heroes’ theme, the sessions have been designed to make environmental learning fun, practical, and easy to understand.

Bringing Sustainability to Life

Through a mix of interactive activities, quizzes, and hands-on sorting exercises, pupils explored:

• Where their rubbish goes after it’s thrown away
• The difference between landfill, recycling, and re-using materials
• How everyday choices can help protect the environment

The workshops encouraged pupils to think about their own habits, both at school and at home, and how they can make simple changes to reduce waste.

The children took part in hands-on sorting challenges and quick-fire quizzes designed to build engagement, confidence and understanding in a fun way.

Becoming Environmental Heroes

The sessions concluded with a simple but powerful message: everyone can play a part in protecting the planet.

Pupils left with practical “superpowers” they can use every day: recycling correctly, reusing items, keeping spaces clean, and encouraging others to do the same.

• Whole-school assemblies on protecting the environment
